Junior Secondary School
The building of the current high school was built in the years 1904-1905 for the purpose of the Royal Realschule. Designer was local architect Arthur Schultz, and contractor of the building was company of Gniew Erich Obuch. first director of the school was Max Rosbund.
After the city has been connected to Poland, on February 4, 1920, the school was transferred according to the protocol by its headmaster to the father AloJzy Karczyński from Gniew, authorised representative of the Polish power. Already on April 15, 1920 the school began its activity, taking on the official name of the Polish National Real School.
The school has been transformed many times: in 1921 into the National Humanities and Co-educational Pro-Junior Secondary School, in 1932 into the National Junior Secondary School in Gniew, in 1955 in the Primary School no. 2.
In 1990 the school was named after gen. Joseph Haller. Since September 1, 1999 the school has been transformed into the junior secondary school.
